Olson selected to serve on CDC's Board of Scientific Counselors

Kristen Olson, associate professor of sociology, was selected to serve on the Board of Scientific Counselors, National Center for Health Statistics of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The board provides advice and makes recommendations to the Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services; the Director, CDC; and the Director, NCHS, regarding the scientific and technical program goals and objectives, strategies, and priorities of the National Center for Health Statistics.

Olson's research focuses on survey methods with a focus on why nonresponse, measurement and coverage errors occur in surveys.
