Curriculum Vitae

Current Research

I have conducted research in the areas of criminology, disability, service-learning, study abroad, and online learning environments. Currently, I am planning a research project seeking to deepen and enrich relationships between incarcerated fathers and their children via the game of chess.

Student Opportunities

I am interested in working with students who have an interest in a variety of topics although topics related to teaching effectiveness and criminology are of particular interest. I frequently work with undergraduate students on independent research projects and honors theses. Based on my current research project, if you are interested in chess or improving relationships between incarcerated fathers and their children, please reach out to me!

Current Teaching

I teach courses at the undergraduate level and am currently teaching courses in statistics and crime. I also teach an honors course on sociology and activism (SOCI189H).
