The Nebraska Association of Sociology Graduate Students (NASGS) hosted a bake sale as a fundraiser for this student organization. The money raised will go toward funding group events, supporting sociology office staff, and equalizing opportunities for all sociology graduate students.

Led by Ph.D. student Jess Morrow and MA student Angelica Philips, the inaugural NASGS Fall Bake Sale was a success! The group raised $475 in just two days. The spread of delicious baked goods included gluten free Oreo balls, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, three varieties of chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cookies, snickerdoodle cookies, vegan maple sugar cookies, vegan sea salt brownies, double chocolate chip brownies, s’mores brownies, caramel apple cupcakes, carrot cake cupcakes and mini pumpkin pie bites.

NASGS is an organization consisting of over 45 students who hold graduate standing in the Department of Sociology at UNL. The group is a forum for discussing graduate student affairs, including university and departmental policies pertaining to graduate students. Other opportunities to support the UNL Department of Sociology can be found here.

NASGS Vice President Andrea Johnson says, “Thank you to everyone who donated and for supporting the sociology graduate students!”
