The Nebraska Association of Sociology Graduate Students is pleased to announce the Nick Babchuk Mentorship Award. Annually awarded by the Nebraska Association of Sociology Graduate Students, the Nick Babchuk Mentorship Award recognizes a Sociology Faculty member who has shown to be an outstanding mentor to graduate students in their field. The new name and new funding for this award has been facilitated by a contribution from Dr. Dan Hoyt, in memory of his mentor and friend Dr. Nick Babchuk. This award was initially started by the Nebraska Association of Sociology Graduate Students in 2007 as the Department of Sociology Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award to recognize excellence in faculty mentorship. Contributions to the Nick Babchuk Mentorship Award can be made here.

Additionally, the Nick Babchuk Endowment for Excellence in Research by Sociology Graduate Students is an important source of department resources to support graduate travel and research. If you wish to support UNL Sociology graduate student travel and research through this account, you can donate here
