Burke earns Honorable Mention for ASA award

Kelsy Burke was recognized with an Honorable Mention for the 2021 Early Career Award from the Sociology of Religion section of the American Sociological Association, the organization's committee chair announced.

Burke is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology who specializes in religion and sexuality. This award recognizes an early-career scholar who has made an outstanding contribution to the sociological study of religion.

She earned the ASA's Distinguished Book Award in 2017 for her book Christians Under Covers.
