About me
I am a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My research interests focus around survey research and methodology as well as health disparities research. In addition to survey research, my coursework in graduate school has emphasized both quantitative and qualitative methods.

I spent my first two year at UNL also working as an intern with the State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health. In this role, I served as both a survey consultant and statistical analyst, working with large data sets to evaluate and improve state mental health and substance use disorder services.  I have worked in the academic, private, and public sectors, where my project management history has been diverse.  I have managed projects including large-scale public health surveys, business-to-business surveys and studies of industrial materials.

I have also worked as a graduate instructor and teaching assistant.  I recently taught SOCI 206: Introduction to Social Research Methods II online.  In past semesters, I have served as a recitation instructor for SOCI 101: Introduction to Sociology and as a teaching assistant for SOCI 206: Introduction to Social Research Methods II, SOCI 862: Advanced Research Methods, and SOCI 867: Advanced Regression.  I particularly enjoy teaching students how to use statistical software.
