I am a first-year M.A. student on the way to a Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology-Anthropology and Philosophy and Religion from Nebraska Wesleyan University here in Lincoln.
My research interests include the role of religion in society and its intersection with gender and politics. I take critical, post-colonial, and queer theory approaches to my research. I enjoy qualitative research methods, particularly interviewing, content analysis, and participant observation.
Outside of academics I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, listening to podcasts, and writing short-stories!
