Amanda Ganshert, Assistant Director for Research and Methods in the Bureau of Sociological Research, earned funding from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS). The award will support "2025 Nebraska Community Alcohol Opinion Survey (NCAOS) and Nebraska Annual Social Indicators Survey (NASIS)".
NCAOS is an oversample of Nebraska households that combines data with NASIS to gauge Nebraskans’ alcohol- and substance use-related perceptions, attitudes, and experiences in their communities. BOSR has been conducting this survey every other year since 2015. Results from the survey are used by NDHHS Division of Behavioral Health to inform decisions about the prevention strategies used by each behavioral health region.
BOSR collects the data, and DHHS analyzes it. The State Epidemiological Profile uses it, along with a lot of other data BOSR collects.
