About Me

I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Sociology with a minor in Survey Research and Methodology. Before coming to UNL, I earned my M.A. in Psychology from the University of Dayton in Ohio, as well as a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Computer Science from James Madison University in Virginia. I am currently a research assistant working for Dr. Kristen Olson and Dr. Jolene Smyth. I also serve as coordinator of the Sociology department’s Research Working Group, and am a member of the Membership and Chapter Relations Committee for the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR).

My research interests are primarily in the world of survey methodology and quantitative methods. My current line of research examines behaviors that occur as a part of the interviewer-respondent interaction during telephone-administered surveys. Long term, I seek to understand how Computer Science techniques like machine learning can be used to aide our understanding of total survey error.
