About Me
Eliza got her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the spring of 2018 and moved into the graduate program the following fall. She is currently pursuing her PhD with a specialization in Women & Gender Studies. They are currently working on their dissertation, studying the gendered meanings transgender parents make of their household labor. Eliza areas of focus are in family studies, gender & sexual minority studies, and the intersections of those two fields. She is currently the president of the Nebraska Association of Sociology Graduate Students (NASGS) and co-coordinator of the outreach committee.
After graduation, Eliza hopes to continue doing research in the area of queer families or working at a non-profit that serves queer families.
