Sociology majors, sociology minors and others interested in sociology are encouraged to participate in the annual Nebraska Undergraduate Sociology Symposium. This Symposium brings students together from all of the statee colleges and universities to present papers, participate in roundtable discussions and to meet and hear talks by eminent sociologists.

2008 NUSS News:
Congratulations to the following UNL undergraduate sociology majors who took honors at the symposium:
Morgan Beals placed 1st in the quantitative portion of the undergraduate student paper competition with a paper titled, "The Challenging Dynamis of Academic Sussess for Latino College Students."
Tynne Muggy placed 1st in the qualitative portion of the undergraduate student paper competition with a paper titled, "The 'Real' Issue of Postpartum Depression (P.P.D) and Social Support for Mothers After Childbirth."
