Sociology Graduate Students

Paul Breitkreutz

I have been a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for as long as I can remember. In 2007, I earned my BA in Political Science and Sociology, with minors in Economics, Education, and History. The next year I received a summer Ogle Fellowship to begin work on my thesis which assesses the effects of a social change project on student civic engagement attitudes and sociopolitical beliefs. I love teaching sociology and have had the opportunity to teach introductory recitation courses and co-lead an honors program discussion section on social inequality. My research interests include the scholarship of teaching and learning, education, social inequality, and political behavior. In my free time I enjoy reading newspapers, going to quiet bodies of water, and participating in local politics.
